Hey besties, me again, landing in your inbox trying not to immediately launch into apologies for being inconsistent and making excuses for my broken brain, but HERE WE ARE.
I’ve been thinking a lot recently about how low expectations really are one of the sources of contentment in my life. As a depressed millennial who graduated into the workplace during a recession and since then has been dealing with ✨ the world ✨ I spent a long time striving for some kind of nirvana, thinking that one day if I just put extra hours in at work or just added one more side hustle to the list or could just afford to buy a certain item of clothing / homeware / furniture or just TRIED HARDER, that I would have reached peak happiness.
I’ve turned on payments for my articles. Using Substack means I can publish my work and make monies from paid subscriptions while readers like you can directly support my work. It’s £5 a month, and the monies (minus tax ofc) goes to me, so you’re not indirectly funding a horrible nest of Tory supporting media turds. You can subscribe below if you haven’t already! xx
